Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends.

North of the border we are typically sorry for having first pick of the Thanksgiving turkeys last month.

We have two Thanksgivings. One at my wife's sisters and the one at our house for the kids. Turkey and ham over kill.

Start my diet as soon as the last slice of pie is gone.

I used to do that. I finally learned to start my diet as I was filling my plate! More room for pie that way. :)

For those who like pumpkin pie, try cushaw pie some time. We haven't made pumpkin pie since I started growing cushaws some years ago - we like the taste better.

These things can reach 10 or 12" across at the bottom. The woman who does the luncheons at the church said she made 16 pies out of one.
