Virginia Woodturning Symposium

Donna Banfield

I'm headed to Virginia in a few days, to demonstrate for the Virginia Woodturning Symposium, in Fishersville, VA November 3/4, 2018.

My rotations: Pyro-engraving Patterns and Texture; Let's See Some Bling; Moving Beyond the Dog Dish; Scraffito - Not Just For Pottery; and Carving Techniques for the Woodturner.

How many turners from WC will be there? Would love to put a face to the name!

Me, for a possible maybe, depending on the Grandkids coming or not. P

I will be there in the Big Monk Lumber booth in the vendor area - hoping to catch glimpses of a few rotations. Looks like a pretty good lineup.

I'm considering going and bringing my Lovely Bride. I had a great time at the NC Symposium last year - I understand the two symposiums alternate years, is that right?

I think that they might skip 2019 because the AAW symposium is in Raleigh.

Thats what I heard, anyway.
