new posts?
Hugh
For the last week or so.....Everytime I open up Wood Central....woodturning....I get no new posts from anyone. I can not believe that no one has posted anything. Is it something I am doing?
Thanks.

I've thought the same thing. Summer is traditionally slow here on WC but nothing this swell in 20 years.

check the grey header and right under keyword search set to weekly and you'll see more messages. Soeone changed something.
Ellis: Software error? Re: new posts?
GaryG in MD
I have never before clicked on Keyword search because WC works just fine on my computer, with the keys I have set up. The search facility hasn't worked for me for many years, so I never use it.
But I just clicked it, per your message, and got a screen saying "Software Error".
I'm not sure what that means, but Ellis might want to look into it. ...GG
Yeah, things have been slow.. Re: new posts?

The search hasn't been working for a long time. However, you can use google and search just woodcentral with this:
site:woodcentral.com searchword1 searchword2

I've never noticed the Keyword Search as you mentioned but when I looked the box just below that said "single message". So I keyed on that box and it gave me a choice of single message or guestbook.
Then I clicked on "return to index", then on box below keyword and it gave me choices of different days 1,2 3, etc and 1 week 2 weeks etc.
So depends on where you are looking to what will be available in those boxes.

Well at least now that some of you answered.....I figure it is not me and the computer.
Thanks. Just slow I guess. Everyone out playing in the shop instead of checking WC.

Thanks, John

I didn't know how to do that.
Good thing to remember.

I don't know about others, but spring/summer is a very busy time of the year for me here at the farm. I check WC every day but I'm lucky to play in the shop once a month unless I'm preparing for a demo or have a turning student (which is once a week or so.)
Kristina just finished up this walnut box. I'll get some real photos of the box later.

John, you should be very careful.....
