I've always liked to embellish woodturnings with cabochons, and started making some new designs recently. These are oven-fired polymer clay with silkscreen mandalas, measuring and about 1.25" wide. Some are alcohol based color inked and glow in the dark:

Yes...all handmade. It takes some practice and patience, but is not that difficult after you get the hang of it. Do a Google search on "polymer clay art" to see lots of examples and how-to's.
