So I was thinking about how to make the wings stand out more. This is the first test. If you think of Ed's Yo Yo's then you know how I turned them. I used my scroll saw to cut them out. I think they need to flare out more and will try that on the next one.

I like them. Excellent! I agree they could flare more. And maybe be a bit larger.
Could you turn a sauce and cut two out of it and mount them like these? My dyslexic brain is struggling with the 3D thinking. Or would that give you two lefts or two rights?

I decided to try to make the flare larger. If you imagine an hourglass shape with the top half of each globe cut off so it makes 2 funnels, that's what this looks like. I didn't get the wings perfect because of the scale but it was quick to do it this way.

Is that light coming through the wings? Are they that thin?
I think they would even be betterer if the lower ends were a little more pointy.
And thanks for the picture with your hand in the pic. I like the tiny scale. Make a great ornament. How about making the bottom of the figure a little more slender to resemble a gown and not a bell?

Nice variations-I can't really pick a favorite. I didn't realize how small these are til the shot with your hand. Great stuff!

Don thats the.only one tbat small. Most.are.about 4 to 4 1/2".
