Regional Woodturning Annual Events

I'd like to start a thread that lists all woodturning related regional events. This initial cut probably missed a lot. Reply below with any other events you know of and we'll try to consolidate it into a single list, with links and other info for everyone to use as you see fit.

Annual Regional Turning Events:

1. Florida Woodturning Symposium, Central FL, February

2. Honolulu Symposium, Honolulu HI, March

3. Utah Woodturning Symposium, Provo UT, May

4. Southwest Association of Turners (SWAT), Waco TX, August

5. Turning Southern Style, Dalton GA, September

6. Mid Atlantic Woodturning Symposium, Lancaster PA, September

7. Rocky Mountain Woodturning Symposium, Loveland CO, September

8. North Carolina Woodturning Symposium, Greensboro NC, November

9. Virginia Woodturning Symposium, Fishersville VA, November

My name is Don and I'm a Turning addict. There, I finally can admit I have a problem. The problem is not enough time to turn! I work as a Medical Imaging Tech for a living but that's just so I can light and heat the shop and buy more tools. I've been turning since 2000 and it has changed my life. I never had a creative outlet before I discoverd Woodturning and now I can't get enough. After I turned my first pen, my wonderful wife saw how excited I was and bought me a mini lathe. She now refers to herself as a "Turning Widow". She is a potter and quilter so she understands the obsession. My interests in turning are many and varied and I'm sure I will not live long enough to try everything I'd like to, but I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately we don't have any children or pets so you'd think I have all kinds of free time to turn, but for some reason I don't. I belong to the Adirondack Woodturners Association in upstate New York, the Mohawk Valley Woodturners, the Old Country Guild of Woodturnes and AAW, as well as the Northeastern Woodworkers Association. (I'd also like to learn to do flatwork someday.) Happy and Safe Turning, Don

Not sure about the Greensboro show in Nov. They are working on the AAW in 2019 or 2020

I though Virginia and North Carolina alternated years. The last VA was in 2016.

Ohio Valley Woodturning symposium in Cincinnati area, every other year in the fall

Turn on Chicago in Chicago area every other year in the fall.opposite year of OVWG.

The New England Turning Symposium is held triennially (every three years) in Derry VT

I REALLY miss that one (in Derry NH - Pinkerton academy). Love the campus and seeing all the YOUNG PEOPLE involved in woodworking/woodturning.
