Has anyone tried the new DAP rapidfuse glue? I got a bottle in the mail. It comes in a red and a blue bottle. The blue seems to hold better. Dries in 30 min. and holds well.ami

Sometime back Dap bought the formula for Nexabond and renamed it Dap RapidFuse. At that time Nexabond was making only wood glue. Dap apparently modified the glue from the original to create an all-purpose glue. The original is sold as Wood Adhesive in the red bottle, the general purpose as All-Purpose Adhesive in blue. I used Nexabond when it first came out, and have used it until Dap bought them out. I continue to use the Wood Adhesive, but have not tried the All-Purpose. I find it an excellent CA (or CA substitute?), and use it quite a bit. I have yet to have it fail.

I have not used it in turning, only in flat work. For some reason it seems to me that CA is too brittle for turning except as a filler or a finish. It may just be my irrational bias as I really have no evidence either way.
