Pens for the Troops

jake niedling

I'm not a pen turner, but always turn a few pens for our clubs "Pens for the Troops" program. Not a great picture, but thought I would share and hopefully get some others involved. The club/Wood Craft provided the pen kits and the maple pen blanks. I decided to use some of my stains to jazz them up a little. Thanks for looking.

Good job Jake. I turned 10 pens for the Cookeville clubs charity and plan to turn another 10 next month. That's more pens than I've turned in my 35 year turning tenure. I don't do pens either. I did turn in 6 more ornaments to Les for the other club charity.

You do such good work. Hey, maybe you could concentrate on pens full time and forget that other silly turning.

You might start enjoying it even more than fishing. :D
