I made a movie yesterday quite successfully. Today it will not let me import a new movie. All the icons are grayed out. I went online to ask questions and don't even know enough to follow the answers. so basically I've wasted 2 yours not to mention all the time shooting the movies. I've going out to move wheelbarrows of dirt to my ditch. At least I know what I'm doing when i'm on one end of a shovel. Screw this computer crap.

As talented as you are, the last thing you are is a quitter! Plus, time spent learning new stuff is never wasted. There are many brilliant folks here including yourself. I believe you will get lot's of support.
Don't forget your gloves and have fun in the dirt! After some serious labor, the computer stuff will be a piece of cake. Easy for me to say? No, I was dragged kicking and screaming into the computer age...
Often, I find taking a break from a frustrating task, leads to an easier approach.
I don't know where I read it, sounds true:
"A lazy man will find the easiest way to perform a task"....

I have absolutely no idea what I did to get it to start downloading the movie but it worked. so now I've edited it. This is going with an article I'm writing for Woodturning Fundamentals on sharpening spindle gouges.

Yes its an excellent magazine. When you join the American Association of Woodturners you get a huge amount of educational information. One of them is a subscription to American Woodturner which is the journal of the organization. Lots of good articles in it. Every other month you get the online magazine Woodturning Fundamentals that is aimed more toward new turners altbough i still learn somethi g from every issue. One of the best things about being a member is you have access to all of the back issues of Both magazines. That alone is worth the membership. Right now they also have a reduced trial membership so you can try us out and see how this wonderful organization works. Go to www.woodturners.org and see.

Thanks guys: That name just doesn't stick with me for some reason.
I do belong the the AAW for many years and I've seen the emails promoting Fundamentals, guess I need to use it more. Times is the problem, hardly get to turn much and I'm retired.
