Way off topic

I used to love computers...

1._Have a new computer installed Firefox, my fav browser, it was good for a while, since a couple days it opens in a minimized window.

Have not figured out how to restore it. It runs under windows 10

2._ a Have a ZTE droid phone, since day one it is always trying to do something else and installing all kinds of crap and a deludge of adverts. How to uninstall apps?

2._ b How to disable the autocorrupt for good? It changes what I am typing to something else. Last and very embarrasing it asked a lady customer to have sex

Is there a phone with no ads and no autocorrupt?

I haven't seen a device yet that doesn't let you disable autocorrect. I turn it off on my phone, iPad, computer. I don't know exactly how on your phone but you might try a google search.

What do you mean you can't get Firefox to restore the window? Do you mean you can't switch it back to full screen or do you mean it won't open in full screen as the default?

Just to be clear is it opening in a window and not full screen? ("Minimized" means you don't see a screen at all except as an icon or marker in the taskbar)

I experimented with Firefox here on Win10. If I close then reopen Firefox, it always opens in the mode it was in when I closed it. For example, if I close Firefox when it is full screen mode, it will be in full screen mode when I open it the next time. If closed in a smaller window, it will open in the smaller window size.

Is your Firefox opening in a smaller window even though you switch it to full screen before you close it?

Lately when I open Firefox sometimes I find it minimized in the top left corner of my screen. I have to click on the little square box in the upper right corner of that minimized box to make it full screen. Also lately instead of coming up where it was when I shut it down it comes on with a site that I had closed way before I shut off the computer. They keep doing upgrades and they are not always improving the product,

Bill, I haven't see that problem here. Mine gets all the updates so maybe it is something specific to some computers and not others, perhaps a bug, perhaps some interaction with other software, perhaps a problem with some extension/addon installed in Firefox. You might test the latter by temporarily disabling any addons - there is a "Restart without addons" or a restart in safe mode under Troubleshooting in the Help menu.

If I worked on the development team I'd want to know about this. Maybe you can send some feedback.

John in my case the only add ons are several language dictionaries I don't think they would interfere with anything

John,

A moment ago when I started the computer, it said "installing your upgrades be patient" it took a while and now Firefox is back to normal...
