It's just so much fun to go out to the shop and just whip something out. My skills have gotten to the point that I can make a lidded box in 35 minutes, finish and all. I can make a mirror without a lot of detail in 45 minutes or less. So like the other morning I had a doctors appoitment at 9. Had to leave the house by 8:15. I went to the shop at 6 and turned 2 of the 2 part ornaments and one box before 8am. It just feels good to be able to do that.

Ha, I've got you beat. I can turn a lidded box in two hours, so there. Well, maybe before the sanding. And the finishing....
Is there a prize for that?

Saw him demo many years ago. He said OK lets.git this over with anyone got a watch and he proceeded.to.turn the box in 1 minute. Amazing. Of.course then he showed us how to properly turn one. I highly recomend his book.
