One of my Nova chucks became difficult to open/close so I shot some WD-40 Penetrating Fluid (not the standard stuff) down the tracks and in a few minutes all was well. This is the second or 3rd time it has saved me so I pass it along. Wish I held some stock but do not. Philip

I've had very good luck just blowing out my chucks (all Novas) with the air compressor, as well.
Very convenient to just give them a quick but strong blast from my blow gun.

I disassembly and clean my chucks with a clean rag. I don't like using spray oils because they leave a film that just attracts dust.

My Vicmarcs hardly ever need cleaning but the off brand copies do. I remove the jaws and clean all the sliding grooves with a cue tip. Then i wax the jaw parts and vrooves with a wax candle. Gotta.do.something with those 68 candles.they put on my cake. The wax makes them slide like butter and doesnt attract sawdust.
Watch out for candles with long wicks
