The Florida Woodturning Symposium is coming up February 9th – 11th, 2018 in Lake Yale FL

There will be AT LEAST two wood suppliers, Peter of Viable Lumber is probably closer to you before and after the symposium, but you can get a pretty good look at what is available throughout the state AND there will be more than one person from your area who can probably let you know who else can help you... ALSO, find the nearest turning club and make some friends.

I'm from Ormond Beach, there are more than a couple of other wood people in this area, but I'll be at the show with a considerable amount of turning wood too.

You local club is the best resource. I live just north of Tampa and this is a place that has sent stuff to our club. https://www.advantagelumber.com/turning/

Also the end of this month there is woodworking show at the Tampa fair grounds. Last year the were a couple of vendors there from the Sarasota area.
