Been playing some more

Now that the Holidays are over and various travel obligations I've had time to play in the shop. Got this Box Elder blank from a guy down the street who used to be a turner. By the time I got through all the checks this was more or less the shape left. Rather than make a bowl I decided to make a hollow form. Haven't done one of this shape in long time. needed one more custom hollowing tool to reach all the way to the top outside corner. I left it because now one else will know and it feels good in the hands.

The second one is the 2 version of my Yin Yang mirror. This one I used standard wood and bent it rather than using the Comp wood. It was much harder to bend but worked.

Nice form on the boxelder... did you bleach the wood and what kind of finish did you use that left the wood so white?

I always like to look at your mirrors, you seem to have infinite ideas for them.
