I like it. They keep making little modifications that improve it. I have a 3520A. The C has indexing, digital readout, Acme threads in the tailstock, adjustable height and probably some other things that i don't remember. Oh yea a better tool post lock. Sweet machine.

I follow the post's pretty close and your turnings and it looks to me like the 3520a has served you well and continues to do so. You must like the (a)pretty well and is a solid lathe.

I would wonder if it would improve what you are doing or just make some of the things easier to do such as the indexing. I really do not think it would as what you post is 100 % anyway but all the little changes is what makes life better and easier.

If we didn't look for change we would still be driving a T model.

Just some thoughts and continue with your pictures and advice.

Ive wanted the B or C model.to be able to.move the bed extension down for more swing. Im actually going to drill holes.in my legs a d put a plate on the back so i can do that. I.would love to have that banjo but pro a ly not enough to pay for it. I have 2 aftermarket index systems that are better than what they put on the C ut there are.times whe. Baving it built i. Would save time. Dont. Eed the digital.teadout but the moveable controls would be wonderful. In fa t i bought all the parts to do that before i got married and moved. Will probably do that this winter.

Yea in reality i could do most of what i do on my delta Midi but its fun to dream

First a question...are "john lucas" and "John C Lucas" the same person?

My request for posters to use the "preview" function is based on the difficulty of reading/understanding/translating posts such as this:

Brian - I’ve never met John; watched plenty of his videos, though. Perhaps it’s me, but I had no problem getting the point through what I can only assume is a Tennesee accent highlighted by the tiny keys on a mobile device...we adapt to the limits of the technology we use. Some may feel its destroying how we communicate, but it does allow for reasonable instantaneous conversations that would have taken weeks only a couple of decades ago.

Aw gotcha. I dont have a computer in the shop and have to type on this phone. I have fat fingers and a small keyboard. If i wait until i get to the house i have too many to answer. The period seems to be the worst offender. My phone often adds it even though my fingers are t near the key. I do try to go back and edit my errors when i have time. Sorry about that.
