Workshop Dust Collection

Doug Dubowski

I seem to have lost all of my web browser book marks and can no longer find the web site that was dedicated to the entire topic of setting up home workshop dust collection systems. If I recall correctly, the person extensively covered everything - ducting size and associated pressure losses, filter media, regulating bodies for filtration, etc. It had a ton of information available - it was not associated with any particular manufacturer, or governing body. Just someone who went through the effort of collating and clarifying the whole dust collection topic for hobbyists. Does anyone remember or recall this site and if so, is there a link available? Thanks.

Do you by chance mean Bill Pentz's web site?

Great! I studied that (and others) when planning my shop. I ended up getting a 5-hp ClearVue cyclone and installed 6" pvc ducts. I'm really glad I did - that thing has incredible pickup. It would probably suck my arm in up to the elbow if careless. :)
