Connection to trees *LINK*

I ride my bicycle on a lot of rails to trails corridors, and pathways along some canals. These rail trails have been decommissioned for a long time, so it's almost like riding through a tree tunnel. I can really feel the change when I get into a deeper, older sections of woods and always slow. Now just recently marveling at the colors that came so late this year. I've also mentioned the spirituality of the virgin redwood forests I visited in California. Now tonight I read this article that talks about the connection of different peoples and trees. Might be too far out there for some, but touches me just right.
