Having just rebuilt a.garage.into the best shop ive ever had i can share in your elation. I spent yesterday working on improvements to my dust collection. Well yesterday and today. I had to go to town and buy some parts. I went to a master woodworkers show and met some old friends and got excited about creating again.

The rest of the things to be done in the shop will be one at a time: electricity, furnace, dust collection, insulation, sheet rock.

I will be selling many hand tools I no longer use to get a band saw to speed up production.

Feels great!

Couple suggestions:

1) mount the bottoms of all your outlets 50" off the floor. Pieces of plywood leaning against the wall won't cover your plugs.

2) run all your machine outlets thru a common disconnect. Mount this high, near the door. When leaving for the day, a simple flip of this disconnect shuts off all the tools, in case the grand kids start poking around while you are gone. The only exception is the lights, and one outlet for your cordless tools.

3) Screen door to keep the bugs out in the summer.

Gonna be a nice shop !
