These are some bowls I've done where the bark edge was either gone or not worth saving. So I added my own version. The colorful ones are sponge painted. The black one was burned.

The 1st bowl is my favorite. It looks like you were able to remove all the bark without damaging the wood. I've not had a lot of success in removing bark without damaging the edge. What is your technique?

I use a.dremel with a double cut carbide cutter i got from RioGrand.com. i did one by simply carving it off.

I use a small dremel.flap.sander to clean it up..
