Anyone know the composition of debonder for CA glue?
My bottle dried up. I just use it for fingers but no big problem - I keep scalpels handy. But I'd like to fill the bottle without buying a new one since I'm a cheapskate. Formula?
I just use acetone. It takes all of the oils off of your skin, but it is cheap. I don't think I've ever tried to unglue something other than my fingers using it, but it should work.
The debonder I had smelled and felt different than acetone, thicker and a bit slippery and didn't dry out skin as much. Maybe it was acetone in some solution.
I was told by one of the CA glue vendors that each company has its own formula for its debonder that should, in theory, work better on that company's CA glue. He also said that acetone would work, just not as well as the specially formulated debonder.
I was told by one of the CA glue vendors that each company has its own formula for its debonder ...
I was told by a CA manufacturer that all the CA glues in the country are made by three companies. I never could find which brands are made by which companies.
I finally looked up the MSDS for some brands of CA debonder. I should have done this first.
