I've never seen a round tool rest for metal spinning before. I have seen them use the 2 hands on a leverage bar that was connected straight to the main bar but this method allows you to use 2 hands with ever cutter. Interesting.

The tool rest is very cool. And the tool that ooks like a wheel could really cut down on surface defects. Very interesting video.

That is a variation of a scissors rest.
Hell of a way to check for burrs!

Great system, skilled craftsman. But, checking that trimmed edge for any burrs left, by feeling for it with it spinning, is just plain asking for a bad cut!
