Krylon matte finish question
Mark Wollschlager
I sprayed a aussie burl piece with krylon matte clear over an oil finish.
I am pleased with the look. I wanted a clear flat look, rather than glossy.
The figure shows through without having to deal with reflections.
My question is more about the texture of the finish.
There is a noticeable texture, not orange peel, just not smooth.
Something to just deal with, or can the finish be smoothed with high grit?
I am under a bit of time constraint.
I wanted to get the piece done and left to sit till next week when it will be presented as a gift.
Better to leave it alone?
Most of the pieces I have with that finish have a texture so it was not noticeable.
