We are at the Oregon Symposium, the air compressor they are using for the demonstrators is amazing. What is amazing is we don't hear it! We've been wanting a new one and looks like this might be it.

Very mixed reviews on Amazon, some very positive, some very negative. Good luck, let us know what you end up with.

The California Air Tools web site has a nice, short video demonstrating how quiet this compressor is compared to more common consumer air compressors.

Will it put out enough air for air tools?

Dick, I have two of these compressors and they are incredibly quiet. About 53 db if I remember correctly. They only have 1 gallon tanks so their use is limited. I use mine for airbrush, cleaning out hollow forms and general clean up. When I'm trying to clean the dust up with the air filter running, it cycles frequently.

I was also at the the Oregon Symposium and you could barely hear them running.
