Hey, could you use any sassafras? I have an abundance at the moment - a lot of chunks cut from big tree that was standing dead for a year and most of the log still untouched.

John,I did the same thing for a couple ladies that took care of my wife before she passed. They were very appreciative. Theirs is often a heartbreaking job.

So sorry to read the awful news, John. Is the tumor something they can remove surgically? I'm guessing not, since they're planning to go right to chemo and radiation.

We just lost my wife's mom to a frontal lobe glioblastoma -- it was too far advanced to be removed (they are usually inoperable), and hers was too advanced to even try the radiation/chemo route.

She had excellent care at an assisted living and rehabilitation facility, and over 4-1/2 months, we got to be good friends with the nurses, and many of the residents, so I completely understand the attachment you form with the staff. They are among the most important people in your life during the treatment process, and no thank-you card would feel adequate. Your mirrors are a great way to thank them for their service.

I'm very sorry to hear about your stepson John. That's a terrible thing to go through for everyone involved. I have seen more then most in my job and it just plain sucks. Your mirrors are beautiful as always and I know they will be very much appreciated.
