Im re reading Mike Darlow's Woodturning Methods. He shows a photo of a detail gouge he reground to what be calls an incannel grind. It looks a lot like Keiths tool he posted the other day made from a round rod with a sloped grind. If you can imagine a detail gouge that ground flute up and the vrind goes downhill from the flute to the tip. Be ises it to reach into tight places.
