Now I like that!
I wish I could stumble on some osage fence posts in the woods some day - the old farmers around here must have never used them. Plenty of locust. I even found one made from american chestnut.

I heard that osage can outlast three postholes!

Gee Clay, how many axes was this turned on? javascript:insertTags(":D");
I remember as a kid on a poor farm in the Missouri Ozarks cutting 3-inch bois d'arc saplings to make fence posts. There were no larger pieces, because it was a noxious weed to us and we kept cutting it back trying to kill it out. The posts reportedly would last forever.

Roger How much are you selling your post holes for ? I've got about 40 buried in the side paddock. If somebody would like to have 'em. I'm selling them really cheap.
