Nova DVR 2024

I have a Nova DVR 2024 that is less than a year old and the head stock locking levers don't seem to lock the head stock securely, causing the head stock to "wobble" under load. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem and if there is a simple fix?

Don't know if the 2024 and DVR were put together the same way. Make certain there are no wood chips caught in the place where the pin to secure the headstock fits into the headstock. There is a "V" notch on the "plate" where the pin screws in. If chips get into that notch you can't secure the headstock. You might remove the screw in pin and blow out the recess.

Loosen the lock pin and slide the headstock release lever forward. Turn the head to the desired pivot/detent position and sorta kinda jiggle the head to center it in the chosen detent. You can feel when it centers in the detent. Don't depend on the lock to pull it into position. Then, re-tighten. I've had my DVR for about 12 years, and never had a problem doing it this way.
