I like this bumper sticker: "If I'd known how much fun grandchildren were, I'd have had them first."

No but the Parents Curse usually works

Remember a parent saying "may you have children that behave just like you".

Tends to come true.....

Maybe a storm in the house

John K Jordan

OK, everyone up at 5am (you can borrow my bugle), fall in for calisthenics then cold showers. Lots of enthusiastic projects, scrub the deck, weed the woods, split the firewood, polish those boots, sweep the driveway, wash the clothes at the creek.

Install a cell phone jammer 23.5 hrs a day and a coin-operated WiFi router, ditch the TV. Dig the drainage ditch instead. Assigned reading of classics and philosophy and educational classes with daily essay. Turn off the heat and air. What, you're cold? Here's some yarn and knitting needles.

No snacks, learn the daily joy of MREs and lukewarm water. 2 hr hike every afternoon, rain or shine.

Evening family discussions of today's reading assignment. Lights out at 8:30. Increase room and board fee weekly. Hire Amish consultant for more ideas.
