Faux-stone in turnings

Some of you are probably familiar with the brand of man-made material called "Tru-Stone". It's been around for many years...easy to work and looks like the real thing.
Recently came across another brand called "Recon (reconstituted) Stone"...good selection of colors, like it a lot, but it's much harder than Tru-Stone and more of a challenge to get a scratch-free finish. Here are some recently completed examples:

How does this material compare to Corian in hardness?

It's a little harder than Corian. Turns like cast acrylic.

To reduce waist (and costs), buy the 1/8" thick re-saw sheets
