>This discussion reminds me.... 1983, driving a 1970 Plymouth Fury Gran Coupe, 383ci, right hand occupied around girl's shoulder. Left hand used to put car into neutral (reaching THROUGH the steering wheel) while approaching a stop light in order to prevent an idle in drive while stopped (car would have stalled at the light). Instead, I skipped a gear on the column and threw her into reverse at 45mph. Ooooops.
The car stopped dead in about 10 feet. I turned it over, and I was just about to get backside bubbles sound from the ignition system, certain death to the battery and questionable life for me with my parents' car when, remarkably it fired up. I have no idea how this happened, but the car survived without damage, so did I, and I learned a little lesson. Also lost about fifty pounds in sweat.
Boys being dumb with cards is just one of the reasons that I am building a moat around my house to protect my daughter, and will put the heads of wanabee boyfriends on pikes in the front yard as a warning to others. She's only two and a half, but I'm getting an early start.
