Formerly an architect in state government for seven years; private practice before that. Now retired since 12/2010 and a full time woodturner! Shop is in a converted garage that is a separate structure from the house I designed and built in 1976. Son of a carpenter so have been around a shop environment all my life. Active member and past president of Honolulu Woodturners; currently off-island demonstrator coordinator. Took up woodturning in 2002 on a lark to see if I could do it--and from that time there was no turning back. (Sorry--couldn't help myself ;-).
