>Beauties, Ed ! What do you find is the best string for Yo-Yo's ? I've only made a few, and have not been satisfied with the strings in the Packard kits. This is, BTW, the only dissatisfaction I have ever had with them !

Safe spinning,

>Thanks Brad. I get all my string from the link below, in bulk lots of 100. Try the black "Type 9" or yellow "Slick 6"...you'll like it.

>Hi Ed,

I don't think I'd ever make one but BOY do I love looking at your work, these are ART!!

You mention weight, is that a critical characteristic for a yo yo?

You've been absent posting for awhile, hope all is well.

Take care,

Jim

>Tim, yes...all's fine. I've just had a heck of a time catching up from the last holiday season, getting my retailers re-stocked (whew).

Some may argue, but I think the ideal weight for a yoyo is between 55 and 75 grams. But the most important thing is balance (weight distribution). If you ever try making yoyos, be sure you're using a fine grained wood with even features. Woods like Bocote and Zebrawood will almost certainly wobble.
