>You should visit the Woodturning Center in Philadelphia...see link.
Also the Winterthur museum down in Wilmington Delaware, not to far south: http://www.winterthur.org/
Bill Grumbine is about 2 hours north of Philadelphia.
Hearne Hardwood is another good visit, lots of great wood. This is one of the places George Nakashima got wood. Plenty of turning stock here: http://www.hearnehardwoods.com/
Do a Google or check the AAW book, Bucks County Woodturners, Lehigh Valley turners and a few others are in the area.
David Ellsworth is in Quakertown, maybe 1 1/2 hrs north of Philly, not too far from Bill Grumbine.
Hope this helps,
Mike

>Hi Lan, I enjoyed my visits to Philly....You must go to the Reading Station Market. You could spend a whole day there! Every food imaginable.
The WTC is great, you will get to see some of the pieces you only saw in magazines and books previously.
I visited the Wharton Eschrick museum....I though that was very inspiring.
I missed Bill Grumbine's but I hear it's a MUST!

>Lan,
It just so happens that one of the clubs I belong to, Keystone Turners, is meeting on Wednwesday the 16th. Unfortunately, the other club I belong to Bucks Turners is meeting after your visit. E-mail me if you are interested in coming to our meeting. Our demonstration is on marbeling and there is always a show and tell. Below is the club's web site.
