>No, you aren't. My training is in chemistry and biochemistry. DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid to me. But hey, I can adjust to seeing it here.

Or CA...I always wonder what in the world California's got to do with finishes on pens.
Worst of all, I see posts where someone is wanting to learn how to do...Harbor Freight??!!
But even worse than that, what the devil is a DWFII??!!

>I'm firmly in the EtOH camp, myself. (Father, brother, daughter, at least one cousin, and wife are all chemists - it kind of rubs off)
I work with Scouts, computers, and woodworkers, all of whom have their own acronyms and TLA's (three-letter abbreviations.) SNMP can be "Simple Network Management Protocol" or "Shiloh National Military Park" depending on context. Similarly, ATM could mean "Asynchronous Transfer Medium" or "Automatic Teller Machine." Add to that the various abbreviations used as internet short-hand and one could get the impression we are trying to reduce the language to abbreviations. It's time to eschew obfuscation, folks!
