green wood and burls

>I have noticed a number of turners really appreciate working green wood. I have been practicing with some and it is enjoyable. Does this method work with burls too? Given the randomness of the grain are there issues with the stresses of drying given that anything goes in a burl? Or is it better to let the burl stablize by drying/seasoning first?

>I enjoy turning green wood, including burls. I have not tried the alcohol process, I just turn things and finish them and let them warp as they will. I like the somewhat irregular "organic" shaped they take on. I have gone from a tree to a bowl completely finished in a day. Sometimes burls warp wildly and I had one turn form a plater into something more resembling a propeller. A little too far gone, so I heated it in the microwave and clamped it between two pieces of MDF. It worked.
