Instruction from the big cheeses

Ruth in S.Cal

>Other than going to each of their sites, does anyone know of a link that might show where all the big names are doing teaching? I am thinking of the 3-5 day type of thing by people like Mahoney, Stuart Batty, Raffan and the like. it's bowls and hollow forms I am interested in more than the artistic and segmented turning.

Thanks,

>I wanted to go to Raffan's class after the Symposium in Utah but it's filled up. I wrote him and he told me about a 5 day and 3 day course he's giving in Calgary at Back Forest. July 4th-8th is the 5 day course, 9th is a demo, and 10-12 is the 3 day workshop. I've heard he's made grumblings about retirement and I'm flying in from Israel so I went the whole 9 yards.

>Ruth - Check www.lawoodturning.com it's Steve Dunn's place in Gardena. I took a three day class from Stuart Batty in January, and a three-day class from Bonnie Klein in February. The website's not up to date, so give Steve a call, his number is on the site.

>Thanks again everyone. I know Steve Dunn and had already talked with him. Actually, I emailed back and forth with Stuart Batty tonight, who is at Steve's right now as he makes a DVD in S. Cal. I think I may be able to work something out there.

Lots of other great leads but right now I need to try and catch the folks who are travelling/teaching in this neck of the woods.
