>I have one, use it all the time to remove wood from big bowls. It keeps me from having to resharpen the gouge to frequenly, and it has the heaviness I like to work on roughing down big stuff. I will buy another one if this one ever wears out.

>I own the V15 3/4 Glaser, and it is one of the finest tools in my shop - and not only that, it's the only gouge I know that whoop my VB36. Even on the low pulley, I can wear out my VB with that big Glaser. Shavings? Shavings 3/4 of an inch wide, over 1/16 thick fly off of that monster gouge. But on the other hand, it's not overkill, imo - superb tool, sweet balance, great heft, and killer edge retention.

David Hammond - slightly happy Glaser owner.
