Planned upcoming chat topics

>We will complete the marketing chats this Wed night with the main topic being "How to sell thru judged events". I have no experience with this so I must depend on those of you who work thru this method to answer questions posed by those interested. Starting next week we will cover bandsaw and chainsaw safety again as there seems to be a lot of interest in thee topics posted on the messageboard. Nothing is more important to this forum than helping people to work safely so if we cover these topics too often but save a finger or more then it will be worth it. Join us at 9pm tomorrow night for the greetings and we'll start the topic at 9:30.

>How timely. Last week I asked a friend who has a big 24 inch bandsaw if he would cut some apple wood for me to rough it round. The next day he called in sick and he NEVER calls in sick. I got a message that he had cut himself and had an uneasy feeling about it.

It turns out he had hit a rotted spot in the apple wood and it surged forward just catching the top of his hand. His surgery is scheduled for thursday to reattach the middle two tendons on the back of his left hand. This is a very skilled woodworker, he got me started. He built every piece of wood right down to the pegs in his pegged oak floors in his 3,800 sq. ft. house.

It only took a split second.

>Hi Terry, I will try to be a regular on the chats...I finally figured out my old (whatever that thing is called) would not support Java, my new one does. I can participate in the chats again. Marketing is one of my favorite topics, and something that can produce amazing results.

I have a turners meeting this Wednesday, but will try to cut out early for the chat.
