>Thanks to the helpful people in WC I now have a full wired shop that is almost ready to go. They are going to install some insulation in the next few weeks. Most of what I have left to do is organize and figure out where the lathe tools go. It's been a long 6 weeks since I moved in but now I'm getting excited and boy am I ready to turn something.

>John- looks like you have lots of usable space to spread out- nobody really needs to put a car in a garage do they??

As you know wide angle lenses lie. It's still tight but I have a lot more space than before. Everything in the middle is on some sort of removeable or lockable wheels so if I ever have to actually put something in the garage it could be done temporarily. I don't plan on that unless I have an emergency repair of the vehicle during bad weather. I'd rather pay someone else and spend that time in the shop making things to sell to pay for the repair.

>Looking good John. I am agout 4 weeks behind you and about to add insulation. What did you panal the shop with and why? I hate sheetrock but want it to be as bright as possible. I could paint but that just adds to the cost. Your advice would be appreciated. Note I am in TX so I am looking to keep it cool as well.

The paneling was done before I got there. I would have used something thicker. I think this is 1/2". I prefer to have something I can nail or screw things to. The walls are just storage waiting to happen. Most of the shelves were there also. I'll change those and the workbench along the back wall eventually. I want to build cabinet style benches that I can take with me when and if I ever move. I'll also put adjustable shelves in place of the one he put it. One thing I've learned is that a shop is an ever growing thing and the easier you can modify it the better off you'll be.
