>Does anyone know if it's possible to post pics from Kodak discs? If so, can you give me instructions, either here or via email.

Yes, I have to get a digital camera.

Thanks,

>Mike, I'm not certain what you mean by Kodak disks but if they are the disks you get when you take film in for development then yes. Put the cd in you computer and use the normal open file routine. The photos should be listed with .JPG extentions. I would save a copy to the desktop and post from there.

>Mike,

Does the disk have a "thumbnail" of the picture you want to post? Not sure, but I think they are about the right size. If not. you have to find a way to decrease the size of the pics. I got a Kodac camera and it has "Easy Share" software with it and it will do thumbnails and other reductions. Even the simplest of photo software should be adequate. There may be something already on your computer and I think there are freeware things you can download.

Thanks guys

>I've managed to stumble pretty much as far as you've described thanks to Lee Weed. Anyway, I'm now trying to reduce the size since I receive a message at WC that the graphic is too large.

Thanks I'll look at the Kodak software and figure this out. BTW, it's a Kodak CD.

Yes I really do need to get with it and buy a digital camera.

Easy Resizing of Pics *LINK*

TomW in SouthJersey

>If you are using Windows XP ther eis a free download from Microsoft that installs in windows. Once installed all you do is right click on the picture an option to RESIZE will appear in the list.

Click on that then you can resize small, medium, large or choose a custom size.

Go Here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

And then from the list on the right side click on imageresizer. You'll get a download box. once downloaded just click install.

Great program, very easy and is from Microsoft not a 3rd party.

Hope this helps,

Tom

It's been a long time since I've seen a kodak CD but they used to put several sizes of the same image on them. One size was e-mail size. That still might be too large for WC.

Wood Spinner

>If you are using Windows XP it comes with a program called Paint. Move paint to your desktop so it is easy to use. You just open it and select the file you want and open that. The Pic may not look correct until you resize it. You can resize, rotate etc. from the menu. I generaly resize to about 30% ( both lines ). There is an attributes size check in the menu so you know how many pixels it is prior to posting. Save it with a name you will recognize in .jpg format. I made a new folder on the desktop for just my turning pics. and I save to that. If you need help drop me a note.
