>Hi Peter, Wolverine makes a jig specifically for the skew chisel. Set the jig up to match the bevel, then sweep one side, then the other. Some degree of skill is still involved duplicating the curve.
You will know when it is sharp when a "wire edge" develops along the entire edge. A dull will be visible, since it will reflect light. Experience will come soon enough.
To get the best results from the skew, it must be honed....let us know if you need tips there also.

>Hi Peter, when I had a sharpening question after buying my wolverine, one of the poster told me that Oneway had a free CD with the visual instructions. I went online but didn't see it on the site so I asked them via the 'contact us' link. Sure enough, they put one in the mail and I have been watching it this evening.
Well worth it.

>The way I sharpen mine,is to use the flat base that came with the Wolverine system.Slide it up to the wheel and loosen the arm and tilt it until you match the angle of the bevel to the wheel.Place the skew flat on the rest and place your left index finger on the tool.Using your finger as a pivot point swing the tool left to right with your right hand. This takes a little practice but it works very well.Good luck.
