>Oh dear...you really did it! LOL Did you get your license to ride? Watch out for speed bumps on that thing...looks like it's low slung. Hope you got some riding in today cause it looks like you might have white stuff over your head if you try to ride tomorrow!

>Now that I have everyones attention here the specs.
2005 Big Dog Chopper
S&S 117 CU IN
113 HP
Carole said to watch the speed bumps and that is a goo idea. Only 4.5 in off the ground.
Ad it's not a HONDA!!
Sorry Dave I am not selling my PM. Going to be tough but I will still have time to turn.
Whoa, lots of horses

Sam Dean
>Other side of the spectrum, but 2 wheels none the less. This is mine: 180 HP, 190 MPH!
That's impressive
MikeinCapeMay
>Have you gone that fast on her? I wouldn't go that speed on four, let alone two wheels.
Re: That's impressive
Sam Dean
>Nope, about 182 is all. It's silly fast though, 105 MPH in first gear..... I need to get something a little more sedate before I get into too much trouble ;-)
Re: New Lathe!

>Very nice, Dick! Look me up if you're riding through south-central Indiana this summer.

>They make those bad boys here in Wichita. Sheldon Coleman started Big Dog after the Coleman company (think lanterns, camping products, etc) was bought out from under him and fairly well destroyed by "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap.
Keep buying those Big Dogs - it helps the Wichita economy.

>Sam,
What's the 1/4mile E.T and speed for that machine?
Just curious as I know only one speed when I get on a bike myself, that's why I don't own one anymore.

>Silly fast isn't the word, dude! Fastest I went was on my 83 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo was 135. I was sort of racing a T-bird SuperCoupe on the way to work (highway, of course). We played a good natured cat & mouse chase for over 40 miles at that speed. Never made it to work faster since then.
Last summer, I'm in the car going 80 and 3 bikes pass me like I'm standing still....while pulling a wheelie...three of them together! Not sure if it was guts or simple recklessness, but it was sure fun to watch!
Ah, youth...

>My previous bike was a sportbike that I just couldn't seem to keep the front on the ground or the back wheel on the ground on quick stops (if anyone was watching). I never ever ever took it for a ride without hitting at least 120 mph (2-3 gear shift). After two track days got some of the speed out of my system I decided I was tempting fate and moved to a compromise bike. Honda ST1100 sport touring. It goes pretty good and will cruise for hours at highly illegal speeds. Now my problem is an addiction to accessories and creature comforts.
Here's a shot of my dash.
Sony AM/FM/CD/MP3 with remote, XM satellite radio, GPS, Escort radar detector(whew), two way radio, EZ-Pass(damned tolls), cellphone, and change holder. There's more stuff that can't be seen. All the sound is fed directly to the helmets via an Autocom Pro-M1.
Weather permitting I ride a lot of big mile rides.

>Man & I thought my 86 FJ600 was hot!
I think mine topped out at about 125 -130 but 120 was safer than 105 - at right about 105 the handlebars would start moving from side to side, some kind of airodynamic thing I guess but it was scary.
That thing was about the most fun I ever had in my life - right up till the night in '87 that I fell off at around 80MPH - I'm still paying for that little indescretion so you guys have fun but be careful out there.
