>to get a response from Bill Grumbine. Many members have lauded the merits of Bill's DVD and I just want to know how the heck you managed to buy it.

Who'll sell me theirs for $US50.OO, I'll pay postage, you can buy another and still have $20 in your pocket.(I'll even throw in a bundle of Aussie woodworking mags.) Does one get the impression that I would like to purchase this DVD.

I realise that this will upset Mr. Grumbine but all it takes is a reply to one of many emails.

Heres hoping

>I just talked to Bill on the phone, and he say that for some reason, he as not gotten your emails.

He is teaching a class at this moment, but will respond to you as soon as he gets a break.

If you do not hear from him, I will make sure that you get one. Let me know if you do not hear from him.

>I spoke with Bill the other day and he told me that he's having some problems with his email regarding spam and he mentioned that he's getting in excess of 250 email per day. This might explain the problem. Of course Mark has now talked to him and Bill said he'll get to back to you.........so you can count on it.

>G'day Dan.

There is a noticable prejudice against Aussies here. And there is a reason. George Hatfield has done such a poor job in demos here that the backlash has affected the normally welcoming response Yanks have for you guys. Just kidding. George is one of my favorite people and a person who would be worth taking a lesson from. Are you familiar with him. He lives in Sydney. I am a huge fan of Bill's video, but having a person there beside you is the best. I am sure that Bill will respond straightway.

I'm sure Bill will take care of it. If mine arrived here in Israel, you're not that much further down under.

>Hi Dan

I got wind of your posting during the day when my friend Mark called me to let me know that there was some trouble involving me. I am unhappy, but not because you posted. For whatever reason, I have not received any email from you. I find that strange, but not unbelievable. I have an aquaintance in VA. If I want to communicate with him, I either post publicly or call him on the phone. For some reason he can email me, but my emails just disappear. They do not bounce, they do not go into a spam filter. They just disappear. With another friend, I have to private message him on another forum because his spam trap has labeled my ISP sympathetic to spammers.

As Mike wrote, I am getting over 250 emails a day, and I will occasionally miss some legitimate email that has an ambiguous title, but anything that has DVD in it, or woodturning, or something similar gets a look and a response. I apologize for whatever reason it is that your email has not gotten a response. I am also responding to your posting privately, and hopefully that will get through.

By the way, if it is any help, my 17 year old offered to send you her copy of my DVD. Some loyalty there, eh?

Bill

>Do I feel bad

Insurrection in Bill's family....and all I wanted to do was get his attention.

I wish to publicly thank Bill for contacting me and I will hopefully order the DVD later today.

An observation: All you guys are so loyal to Bill it seems that it would be impossible to buy a blackmarket DVD. But hey.. who really wants to anyway.

Regards to all

Dan Faux ( a happy little Aussie )

>Dan,

There's a reason for the response you received to your post. Anyone who has met Bill G. knows that he is one of the most principled and nicest guys that you could ever hope to meet. I was sure that there must be some technical reason that he hadn't responded to your e-mails.

I don't have my copy of his DVD yet, but I'm sure no one who has it could be induced to part with it.

Gary
