Gluing letter opener

>I just received my first CIgar style Letter Openers from Berea Hardwood today. The assembly directions say to glue the opener to help to keep from loosening. What would be the best type to use? I'm looking forward to getting these made, but want to do it right.

Thanks in advance for your help.

>If you have to glue the parts, I would recommend epoxy. I am sure some other turners will disagree, but here is the reason: TIME ! CA might dry too fast, and you will have a half-in part.... I know it is a pain to mix such a small batch of epoxy, but it is better than ruining the letter opener kit.

I would use a tiny drop, and apply it inside the cavity (toothpic, etc) and not close to the edge. Less chance of oozing out.

Best luck with your project!
