>Hi Carol,
Woodturning (UK) and Woodturning Design -- I think there is a little something for everybody in these mags. Even Wood magazine has a turning project every now and then.
I'm gonna try to see your demo on Saturday at Rockler.

>AAW American Woodturner - all levels. Become an AAW member to get this one.
Woodturning (UK) - intermediate projects, advanced design ideas. I like the magazine, but would like to find a more economical source in the US.
More Woodturning newspaper - all levels, great reviews, fun projects, interesting travel stories, lots of tips. I recommend this one, even if it is newspaper format in B&W.
AAW Chapter newsletters - all levels, demonstrator reviews, projects, galleries of ideas - access local chapter websites from AAW website.
Woodturning Design - all levels, various projects. 1 yr. old magazine growing and developing.
There was another UK magazine called Woodturner, that recently merged with Woodworker magazine -- I haven't bought it since the changeover.

>With respect to More Woodturning, Fred has offered a new option. You now have the choice of receiving it in the usual B&W tabloid format, or you can have it delivered via email as a pdf with all the photos in color (and sharper as well).
Neither are perfect, in the best of all possible worlds it would be a slick papered journal, but both the present formats have advantages in addition to keeping costs modest. The newspaper is easily portable and offers the possibility of larger print, but the color pdf version really brings the pages alive, you can easily print them out for long term reference, and it never gets buggered up in transit.
I'm not sure, but I think Fred might be making one of the issues available as a sample in the pdf format.

>Carol, most of the big box stores carry Woodturning Design, which I take. Pick up a copy and see if you like it before you take out a subscription.
