>Sorby has one and it's available from various dealers, Craft Supplies is one that carries it I believe, it's entitled; VRS03: Focus on Decorative Techiniques: This is an authoritative video on various aspects of decorating turned pieces. It includes the use and care of decorating Robert Sorby texturing tool, spiralling system, indexing system, chatter tool and eccentric chuck for off-centre turning.
Also, check the "Articles and Reviews" section in the menu to your left on this page, there's some stuff there as well.
Hope this helps.

>Another source for information on tools although a little biased is from Sorby. If you go to their website there is an option to get 2 free CDs on the use of their tools. I ordered it (I like free) and was surprised at quickly it arrived from England.
There are demonstrations of several of their tools. In fact, after viewing the demos I ended up buying the bowl gouge, multi-tool, and the spindlemaster (that last one looked so easy to use on the CD but I'm having a difficult time controlling it - I managed to turn several wildly gouged out round shaped things with it so far)
I have found that after receiving the tools the CD is a good reference for using them such as where to place the toolrest and the best angle to use for a specific edge.
They do demonstrate the chatter tool.
Hope this helps,
Tom

>Dick Sing did a segment on chatter tools on one of the Woodworking At Home DVDs. You can buy back issues of the DVD magazine from their website.
His presentation was very informative and entertaining.

>I found the best source for chatter tool knowledge is Bonnie Klein. She explains it in her videos but the best explenation is the one given in the AAW Fundementals of Sharpening DVD. This is one DVD I recommend you own anyways. You can either make your own or use the Dennis Stewart model. You can buy their blad and make your own handle, too. I also use one made by Hamlet but it isn't available in the US yet. I've tried the Sorby and I don't like it.
Thanks all!
