>Gah! Quit teasing me Ron! I just hollowed out 2 11" bowls on my Jet 1236. I would have loved to have cored and gotten 4 bowls out of the deal, and less to clean up.

>Yup, and it sure saves on shavings. If I don't want the core I throw them in a box and use them for friction plates when I am remounting a bowl.

>What? And make my girls unhappy with me? My chickens count on all those shavings to help keep the chicken house worm and dry!... What are you trying to mess up my breakfast production?
Hey I wonder? Sam Dean told me the other day that Osage orange has a natural insect repellent in it (like Eucalyptus does) Do you think the shavings might help keep mites and other crawlies out of the chicken house or could they be a danger to my Girls?

>Big- the osage repellant is hardness! When it's green and soft the little critters just love it, but dry it hurts their teeth! Thar's why we use it for fence posts.
