>Hey Mark, did the ice storm stop the show yesterday? We had some ice before it turned to rain but I know it was much worse south of here. All accumulation is gone here this morning.

>When I saw the extent of the weather moving in Friday night, I figured it would be better to drive up Friday Night and end up Iced into a motel, then to drive into the unknown Saturday morning. When I got up Saturday morning, my truck was covered with a 1" clear sheet of ice. The roads were slushy, but looked passible. SO...I hammered on the door of the truck until I could unlock it and open the door. I fired it up and let the heater/defroster run for about an hour. Then I chipped huge slabs of Ice off the windows.

I drove over the the convention center (again the roads were fine if you did not try to go 60 mph. They were open. The crowd was low, but that was nice for us shopping, not for the vendors.

I spent about 3 hours in the GAW booth with one other guy that made it, until Tom showed up.

I had to leave at about 3pm (they were going to close early at 4pm) because my wife had been stranded the night before in Baltimore, and got into ATL that morning, and was stranded there. I went over and picked her up and we drove home. The roads south of ATL were not too bad, but trees were down everywhere

Dropped probably too much money - got some new burning pens for my wife, some DC hose, a couple of mobile tool bases (one for our club lathe) and a cartridge filter for my DC (easy to install and works great).

Sorry you could not make it.
