Fair Price for a Nova

>Having just upgraded to a Powermatic, I need to sell my Nova 3000. What's a fair price to charge for a 1 1/2 year old Nova 3000, with Bed extension, hand wheel, vacuum attachment and shop built stand?

thanks, frank

>You could use one of the depreciation tables. Figuring a 7 year depreciation, that would be about 15-20% for a 1 1/2 year old piece of equipment. It would be on the order of 20-30% if you figure a 5 year depreciation.

>Is that with electronic variable speed or not? I paid $900 for mine with the variable speed. I thought that was a good deal. Most of the ones with variable speed in the classified ads were going from a $1000 to $1400.

I sold mine for $1000. It was set up just like yours with a heavy homemade stand and homebuilt AC variable Frequency Drive. John

>Thanks, I neglected to mention that is wan NOT variable speed. Its the standard 8 sped step pulley model with 1hp Baldor farm duty motor. would expect to fetch much less than true variable speed (a big factor in my switch) but question is how much. does $650 - $700 seem reasonable?
