made a few work stands

>Hello all I have been needing to make some work stands for a while and decided this weekend was the time to do it!

I have been using my lathe on a plastic table and I had a bed ex for it that has never been out of the box.

The buffing wheel has ben on my router table held on with clamps.

the grinder I have been using it on my tablesaw it has my homemade wolverine jig on it.

they were all made from 1 1/2" sch 40 pipe and 3/8"x 3" angle iron

>Hi Jim,

Looks like you had a productive weekend! I bet you love having your lathe sitting on that stand much better than a plastic table. They all look great. Nice job!

>Are you going to put some weight on the lathe stand? I like your buffer stand a lot. That is really clever with the basket and the A-frame.

>The only problem I see Jim, is where are you going to lay your turning tools while not in use? That table was so nice for that. :-)

>Jim -the lathe stand would be even more stable with some diagonal leg bracing. And a shelf across the end spreaders would give some good storage as well as add some mass to reduce vibration- a lathe can never be toooo heavy!!!
